Ghost and Goblins and Super Heroes Invade Schroon

Beware, good citizens of Schroon: On Friday you may come face to face with an assorted gaggle of ghosts and ghouls on Main Street.

It’s the annual Schroon Lake Central School’s Pre-K to  6th grade Halloween Parade, which will take place at 1:30pm. Students will leave the school and parade down Main Street  -- cross over at Stewart’s  -- and return to the school.

In the event of rain, students will parade in school.  In that case, folks wishing to give candy may do so at school, starting at 1:30pm  Please enter the school through the main lobby for directions.

Yummy Prime Rib From Lions

It's just a few short hours before Schroon Lions will be serving up some delicious prone-rib, for the Annual Lions Fundraiser at Witherbee's.

From Lion Patti Mehm: 

Guests will be seated continually as tables arrive, beginning at 5:00 pm until approximately 8:00 pm.  The dinner includes salad, rolls and butter, prime rib, veggies, homemade mashed potatoes and a delicious dessert. 

The Lions Club is a total service group, with 100% of all proceeds going back into our Schroon Lake community projects.  Please join us tonight (October 25), as we serve you and together we can help the community with all dinner proceeds  providing scholarships to our local students and Lifelines to our elderly.

The communities support is greatly appreciated and necessary for its success, we hope to “Serve” many of our neighbors again this year.  The Lions Club motto is “We Serve” and the club members enjoy this opportunity once a year to do just that!"

Tickets can be purchased in advance from any Lion or at the door.
