You know Fall is officially here when the calendar says it's Gore Harvest Fest Time again.

This weekend, 10am – 4pm, the North Country's premiere fall event is upon us,  featuring Adirondack artisans, peak scenic foliage views aboard the Northwoods Gondola, autumn-themed food and drink, and a wide variety of family activities and recreation, More from the folks at Gore:

"There is free admission for all!  Also that weekend, North Creek welcomes a huge ski sale presented by Schuss Ski & Bike, located adjacent to the Gore Mountain Access Road on the Gore Mountain Lodge/becks TAVERN property.

Harvest Fest presents an amazing Adirondack slopeside shopping village of approximately 80 talented artists.  Browse handcrafted items such as original paintings and photography, local specialty foods, rustic furniture, paddles, and even acoustic guitars made of locally reclaimed wood, upcycled book origami, all-natural bath & beauty essentials, primitives & Adirondack decor, hand-painted fabrics, knit scarves & accessories, unique handmade jewelry, pottery, and so much more!

Gore’s multiple peaks of terrain will be illuminated with a colorful autumn showcase, providing prime leaf-peeping opportunities aboard the Northwoods Gondola Skyride.  Live music throughout the weekend includes Last Daze and Raisinhead on Saturday, and Mitch Frasier and Council Fire on Sunday. In addition to interactive children’s entertainment such as Penelope the Clown and a huge inflatable playground from Bounce Around Entertainment, there will be live birds of prey, pony rides, wagon rides, rock climbing, bungee jumping, arts and crafts, field games, Halloween egg hunt, mini-golf, farm animals to meet, and zorbing.

The hearty, fall-inspired menu includes bratwurst, sausage & peppers, baby back ribs, turkey drumsticks, German potato salad, maple donuts, apple and pumpkin pies, and much more. An extensive beer selection spotlights fall seasonal brews and local craft beers like pumpkin ales, harvest browns, and hard ciders.

Skiers and riders can cash in on an exclusive festival-only lift ticket deal! The Gore X4 pack is four lift tickets valid Sunday-Friday, non-holiday for just $189, and is available only at Harvest Fest.  Guests can also purchase other lift tickets, season passes, frequent skier cards, and gift cards.

During the festival, guests can learn about major construction projects for the upcoming season, including significant lodge renovations at the Base Area, mid-mountain, and summit, as well as new snowmaking updates and Nordic trail enhancements".
