A  young British girl  born and raised in India  loses her somewhat neglectful parents in an earthquake and returns to England to live with her uncle on his grand estate. Wanna know what happens next?

Then head on down to The Boathouse Theatre today at 1 pm when the Schroon Lake Arts Council presents the Hampstead Stage Company’s special production of Frances Hodgson Burnett’s classic children’s story, The Secret Garden.

The not for New hamshire based Hampstead Stage Company, who faithfully make Schroon a stop on their 48 states year-round tour, is one of the largest educational theatre touring companies in the nation. All of their scripts are original adaptations based on classical literature. The best part about their performances – and what makes their shows memorable for kids, is audience participation.

Their plays are a kid friendly one-hour. And the best part is, it's free!
