After a slow start, the Nor' Easter did not disappoint! From various reports we are getting here at Schroon Laker.com HQ, by 10pm Wednesday night there was between 6 to eight inches and more  on the ground in some parts of our readership area. Mike Marnell told us earlier tonight that the town was well equipped to deal with this snow event. He had not heard of any reports of accidents or power outages. Got news to share about the storm? Be Careful Out There

Earlier today over on Paradox Lake, high winds sent a huge tree crashing onto a lakeside dock. Luckily, there were no injuries. And be careful on the roads.

Despite the efforts of the crack Town Highway Department and with the temperature dropping, conditions will be treacherous.

Slow Snow So Far

Snow accumulation of up to 12 plus inches is still to materialize. Schroon managed a few inches Tuesday, but who knows what today might bring.
