As the temperature ticks up, and the lines for Stewarts Ice cream get longer, you know Summer is in full tilt boogie mode.
And that means the annual Kids Fishing Derby is just around the corner. So mark your calendars, for this Saturday July 25th at the town docks.
The event runs from 9 am to 12 noon, rain or shine. It's hosted by the Fish and Game Club and organized by the incredibly dedicated team of Joe Steiniger and Mary McDonald.
From Joe: "We got worms! We got hot dogs! We got lots of prizes! Dozens of prizes in multiple categories, free hot dogs, ice cream (thank you Stewarts). Free registration!"
The event is for kids 12 and under. Good luck, have fun and go fish!
From the moment their spring season opened – ADK Shakes has bolted out of the gate with a diversified and amazing reportoire of performances.
This year -- under the creative guidance of director Tara Bradway -- there’s a big emphasis on attracting the attention of the next generation of theatre and Shakespeare lovers, with a ton of kids productions and activities.
Today (Sunday) you can catch the laugh riot “The Merry Wives of Windsor” in North Creek, in an air-conditioned theater!

The is the cast of the Wednesday/Friday performance of of The Barber of Seville! (Leads alternate between performances). The set is beautiful, the costumes are stunning, and the music is full of fun! Check out the show for a hilarious evening (or Friday afternoon) of opera!
