Schroon’s Own Sprocket Man: Larry Vanderburgh

Congrats to Schroon’s own Larry Vanderburgh and his “two man show” that includes some intricate, whimsical and fun pieces.

 Larry, along with Art DeGraw, are showing their latest works at the North Country Arts Second Floor Gallery, at Glens Falls City Hall, Last night was the artists reception. The show runs through April 1st.

Something's Fishy In Schroon

If you haven't noticed, there are a few hundred extra folks in town this weekend, for the 24th Annual Ice Fishing Tourney.

The event, sponsored by the Schroon Lake Fish and Game Club, runs through 4pm Sunday, when the winners are announced. All Fish must be caught in Schroon Lake. Organizers have a Facebook Page dedicated to this weekend's events, which you can check out here.

Cash prizes are awarded for the five species of fish, plus numerous door prizes and raffles. There is a pasta dinner served on Saturday at 5 PM. Burgers, hot dogs, and chili will be available all day Sunday at the club.
