Just a short drive south to Bolton landing, far enough away from Lake George's honky tonk, is the grand Sagamore Resort.

This refined lady, who shows off her 100 plus years well, is perched on Green Island in the middle of our six-million-acre Adirondack Park. So take a road trip and enjoy an adult beverage in the upper deck at the resort’s Pavilion restaurant.

The Flipsydz, after playing in Schroon three years running, return again Wednesday night, July 26, for another BIG gig at the Boat House.

It's all part of the Schroon Lake Arts Council's Summer Concert series, bringing an eclectic slate of performers to our little part of paradise in the Adirondacks. You can get all the information about their series, including how to buy your tickets in advance, by clicking right here.

Here's  more about the the group, from our mates at the Schroon lake Arts Council:

"Spanning 3 generations of vocalists, The Flipsydz create a sound from ‘the golden oldies that has the ‘youthful tone' of today's generation. The group concentrates on performing a cappella (without instrumentation) often evoking memories from the groups of the 50s and 60s singing ‘doo wop' on the street corners of Philadelphia and Brooklyn.

The Flipsydz' members include accomplished operatic singers, choral group members and solo artists who have performed in Las Vegas as well as internationally. Though their backgrounds vary, the members of The Flipsydz share a common love for a cappella doo wop music, and creating wonderful harmony together.
The Flipsydz are able to recreate the ‘authentic' sounds you will remember, while also adding their own unique style to some of their repertoire.

Whether you watched Dick Clark's American Bandstand in the 50s, 60s or 70s, (or re-runs in the 80s or 90s!) you will think you've traveled back in time when you hear The Flipsydz.
Come take a trip down memory lane, and we'll catch you on the flip side...."
