As the summer winds down and the colors begin to change, there’s some other changes around Schroon. Sticks and Stones has new hours: Monday -Thursday: 4 pm  - 10 pm . Fri-Sat: 11:30 am  - 11 Ppm. Sun: 11:30 am  - 10 pm

Alpine Pizza is closed until Tuesday and reopens Wednesday, September 12 from 4pm - 9pm. Pitkins hours are Monday - Friday 11 am to 8.30 pm. Saturday and Sunday: 7.30 am  to 8.30pm.

DeCesare’s Pizza and Italian Restaurant: Wednesday and Thursday: 4 pm – 8 pm. Friday: 4 pm – 9pm. Saturday and Sunday: 11.30 am – 9 pm

Hello Beautiful’s hours are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, by appiontment ony. (518) 585-6500. The hours at the Chamber of Commerece are Tuesday - Friday 11 am - 4 pm. Saturday: 9am - 4pm. (Closed Sunday and Monday). The new Barkeaters store is closed and will open for the Marathon Weekend  from September 21  - September 23.

H & J Cafe (next to the Timberwolf) is open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner from 6am. 

9  Mile Coffee hours are the same: 7 am to 2 pm daily through the Marathon Weekend.

Book Lovers in search of a bargain can still get their fix every Saturday at the Library’s Used Book store in the basement of the Hudson Headwaters Health Building from 10 am  - 2 pm through the fall.

And there’s a huge 20. per cent off sale on select items at the Towne Store. They have Friday to Sunday hours through the Marathon Weekend. 

Witherbee's new hours are Wednesday to Sunday. They open are 3 pm.

Schroon's Last Arts and Craft Fair of 2018 This Thursday

It’s never too early to stock up on some ADK themed gifts, fresh produce,  or grab some take home memories of your stay in the Adirondacks. This is the last fair of he season, which started in June.  You'll find the vendors on the grassy area outside the Schroon Lake Town Hall.

The day starts at 10 am and goes through to 3pm. You won’s be disappointed: There’s Dave's Local Honey, Maple Syrup & Balsam Pillows, Tom's Hand Crafted Soaps, Mickey Caputo-Abbott's Everyday Ceramics, Bert's Jams & Jellies, Jim's Handcrafted Jewelry Boxes, Berdie's Catnip, Wallets & Coasters, and Al Massa Birdhouses, Bat Houses and more. Birdhouse can be made to order from $50.
