A light snow is falling, baby it’s cold outside and you can smell the wood burning in fire places all over town. What more could we wish for on Christmas Eve?*
Locals are welcoming family and friends and second home owners have arrived from the Flatlands to spend the holidays in our neck of the woods.
Here are some highlights:
*The Towne Store and Pine Cone and Mercantile are open for last minute gift shopping and decorating ideas. The Towne Store is everyday until New Years (except Christmas Day) Monday - Saturday 10 to 4, Sunday 11 to 4 and Christmas Eve 10 to 3. Their last day of the Season is Monday December 31st.
*Pine Cone’s specials for today are 25% off all Christmas Ornaments. Lisa tells us If you can't make it in, but want to take advantage of the deals, please feel free to give them a call at 518-532-0220.
*Tops is open until 7pm today and reopens Wednesday at 7am.
*9 Mile Coffee is open until 4pm today and re-opens at 9am Wednesday. Beans and gift cards make awesome gifts.
*Sticks and Stones is open until 8pm today and reopens Wednesday at 11.30am. Gift cards from Sticks make terrific stocking stuffers.
*Witherbee’s hosts a family friendly
Trivia Night on Friday, December 28. The MC is George C of 2 Guys DJ in Glens Falls.
*Adirondack General Store has free gift wrapping and hundreds of ideas for everyone on your last minute list. Open until 4pm today.
*DeCesare’s Pizza is closed until Thursday when they start serving at 4pm.
