What makes downtown Schroon so special for many is that it brings back memories of a more simple time. A stroll down Main Street offers everything you’d need for a week or weekend. In recent years, there’s been a significant upgrade of shops selling some basic staples with the addition of more adventurous retail storefronts.
North Woods Bread Co, with amazing baked goods and more -- by Edward and Lisa -- led to Pine Cone Provisions. Those ventures are off shoots of Pine Cone Mercantile, the now go to destination for Adirondack home furnishings.
Nine Mile Coffee filled a unique niche for those who needed more of a curated caffeine jolt. They also offer a breakfast and lunch menu. The whole shebang moves into bigger digs this summer.
