Ice Fishing, Schroon Lake, February, 2011

Dates for the 20th Annual Ice Fishing Derby sponsored by the Schroon Lake Fish and Game Club have just been announced.

The event, which brings hundreds of anglers to our frozen lake and is a boon for the local economy, starts daylight, Saturday, March 3 and ends at 4 pm Sunday March 4th.

Pre-registration is $12 through February 26th and is available at the club, Flanagans Pub, Bobcat Sports, Schroon Lake Wine & Spirits, Timberwolf Pub, Schroon Lake Sunoco, Crossroads Outdoors in Chestertown and the Black Bear Restaurant in Pottersville. After February 26, registration is $15.

Mail in entries can be sent to the Schroon Lake Fish and Game Club, PO Box 725, Schroon Lake, NY 12870. With your check, please include names, addresses and phone numbers. Mail in entries must be received by February 26th.
