The weekly Thursday outdoor Artists and Crafters Market returns to Schroon this summer.

The market, which features a variety of hand-made crafts from local artisans, runs from June 21st to September 14 from 10 am – 4pm at the Town Hall on Leland Street.

“We are happy to be back for our second year,” organizer Mickey Caputo Abbott told Schroon Laker today.

“We got a very positive response last year. We were all pleasantly surprised at how successful it was”.

Mickey said she was welcomed back by the town this year when she sought approval.

“They are behind us. They believe in us. It’s good for the town and it’s good for local artists."

Mickey says some of the artists who took part in last year’s market will be back again this year.
“We’ve got everything from ceramics, to table runners, to hand made pocket books, to jewelry and Balsam filled pillows.
