If you have been eying that kayak on Main Street -- and purchased that “winning ticket” from the Chamber of Commerce  -- the wait will soon be over to see if it will be yours. But there’s still time to get your tickets or buy more to increase your chances of being a winner.

The drawing is this Saturday at 8pm, at the Chamber,  during the big Main Street Labor Day Dance Party.  While you are there, check out the “Summer in the Village” quilt, also up for grabs. That drawing takes place on Marathon Sunday, September 22 at 3pm. Winners need not be present.

And we hear from Dwayne Anderson, the president of the Schroon-North Hudson Snow Mobile Club, there are still tickets left for a brand spanking new 2013 Ski-Doo snowmobile the club is raffling off.

Dwayne says the funds raised by the raffle will go towards the purchase of a trail groomer, as well as the purchase of a a four wheeler.

The winner will be drawn as soon as the tickets sell out, or at the club's November meeting.

Tickets are on sale right now at the Schroon Lake Chamber Of Commerce and Curtis Lumber  and the town's local pubs and eateries.
