What A Night: Happy Labor Day!!!
What A night -- the greatest fireworks in recent memory and hundreds of happy dancing feet, rocking out to the Master Cylinders. The band, who we think gets just a big a kick out of playing here as we do hearing them, played another great show.
The above photo -- courtesy of the band -- is what they see from their point of view.
From the band:
Thanks to all of Schroon Lake, the Chamber of Commerce, and our crazy friends; Sue and Chip, Joyce and Bill, Marsha and Bob. What a wild, happy and fun way to end the summer. There must have been a thousand people there!
Hands done, everyone we spoke with thought the fire works were some of the best we've ever seen. We particularly liked the red parachute display. In fact there were a couple of new fireworks we saw for the first time.
In juxtaposition to the big fireworks show, it seemed the crowded was a little thinner than in previous years. Which meant there was plenty of space to spread out. Our favorite vantage point? Lying on our backs on the floating town boat docks, with the fireworks literally popping over our heads. What was your experience like? Tell us in comments.
