The Adirondacks are in their Fall prime right now, with activities all over.

And there’s plenty to do in our area. The Big Event is Harvest Fest at Gore Mountain, Saturday and Sunday.

There’s live music all weekend, great deals on season tickets, amazing food, gondola rides and an arts and crafts fair.

Back in Schroon there's the Frida opening reception for the latest showcase from Giant Mountain Studio, which doubles as a celebration of the one year anniversary of this gem. From curator and artist Anthony Ruiz:

"Join us as we welcome new art and artists to the gallery for our Falling into Winter Exhibit. Varied media including oil paintings, watercolors, acrylics, drawing, photography, digital artwork, rustic furniture, woodwork, carved stone, hand-made baskets, and pottery. Works by local and regional artists. Artists include: Carol Law Conklin, Rhea Costello, Brant Davis, Frances Gaffney, Barry Gregson, Matthew Gregson, Eric Gulbrandsen, Paul Lakata, Anthony Ruiz, Tom Ryan, Mary Stewart, Yvonne Wild and others".

The event goes from 6pm – 8pm.
