Welcome Winter: It's Good To Have You Back!
Finally, winter has returned! Today’s temps will hit a high of 18 – compared to 38 degrees just a few short days ago. There is a thin layer of ice forming on Schroon Lake. And there is some white stuff in the forecast, just a sprinkling, but every inch counts for those winter sports lovers: sledders, skiers and those who snow shoe.

Tonight: A 20 percent chance of snow showers after 2am. Increasing clouds, with a low around 7. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of snow showers before 3pm. mostly cloudy, with a high near 23. Light west wind increasing to 5 to 9 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.
Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 11. Wind chill values as low as -2. Southwest wind around 9 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
New Year's Day: A 30 percent chance of snow showers after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 26. Southwest wind 9 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 15. West wind 6 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
