With the recent passing of Schroon's much beloved world famous auctioneer Ed Haroff, The Town of Schroon Lake Lions Club will be forgoing their annual Memorial Day Auction.
But their garage sale will be bigger than ever.
From Lion Patti Mehm:

"This year it will be a 2-day Garage Sale and Charitable Gift Raffle on both May 24 & 25 from 9:00 am till 3 pm, come down to the Boathouse (adjacent to the boat ramp) and pick up your treasures!! The Garage Sale is located indoors, so this event will be held rain or shine!

In conjunction with the Garage Sale, there will be an ongoing Charitable Gift Raffle of Gift Certificates, Services and other new items that have been donated by the area businesses and residents. Purchase your raffle tickets anytime during the Garage Sale and the winners will be drawn on Sunday at 2:30 pm, winners DO NOT need to be present. Raffle tickets will be $1 each, 14 for $5, 35 for $10.

The Club is still in need of donations and is soliciting the Adirondack community for new and used items (in good condition), along with donations from local restaurants and service businesses. This event could not be conducted without the generous support of our residents and local businesses. We thank you, one and all for their support of our local Lions Club. If you wish to drop items off directly at the Boathouse, please do so Friday, Saturday or Sunday (May 23-25) between 9:00-Noon"
