We heard late last week the gates at the Starbuckville Dam were being opened three feet, to alleviate flooding in Schroon Lake, after last week’s massive rain event.

If that did happen, we had so much rain, it didn’t make a difference.

Last weekend folks who enjoyed beachfront and lazing on their Adirondack chairs on their docks, were confronted with an entirely different soggy scenario a week later.
