There’s another BIG WEEKEND here in Schroon, with as much or as little as you want to do.

Tonight we highly recommend locals and visitors check out the Schroon Lake Association meeting and presentation @ The Schroon Lake Central School at 8pm.

For families, there’s only one place to be, the Family Rodeo at the Word of Life Ranch, located on Route 9 in Pottersville. It’s free, but of you are in the mood for a hamburger, drink, or western souvenirs, bring some cash.

The night starts with a Family Fun Night with music, games, petting zoo and other fun activities.  The Rodeo is at 8:30pm  

Saturday at 10 and 11am there’s the Children’s Opera: "Hansel & Gretel" @ The Boathouse Theater, presented by The Seagle Music Colony. And it’s free. Call 518.532-7875 for details.

Looking for a summer read or three? Head to the Used Book Sale, sponsored by the Friends of the Library in the Basement of the Hudson Headwaters Building. 10 am – 2pm.
