Camelot: So Good, In So Many Ways!
If Opening Night of the Seagle Colony’s 99th season is any indication of what’s ahead, then we are all in for a special summer.
Camelot has been cast perfectly, with the leads and ensemble delivering a roaring performance of this classic, directed with just the right pacing by Richard Kagey, who pulls out terrific performances from his young cast.
The acting, singing, costumes and set direction deliver on all levels. There’s a lot of magic in the storyline and that also applies to the dynamic between Trevor Martin as Arthur, and Emma Grimsley, as Guenevere.
That spark extends to Emma’s scenes with Michael Hewitt, who plays Lancelot. Humor abounds in Camelot and a lot of the laughs are provided with perfect timing by Josh Efin’s Pellinore.
Once again Seagle’s Artistic Director Darren Woods and General Director Tony Kostecki have hand picked an amazing class of 2014.
