For those who love learning about Schroon Lake’s storied history, there’s a treasure trove of information now on the official Schroon Lake Facebook Page, managed by Dave Peterson.

Facebooker  Elias Savada, has uploaded many pristine copies of the official catalogues from the original Schroon Lake Camp, a retreat started on the shores of the lake in the early 1900s, by New Yorker Dr. I.S Moses.

The catalogues  -- from the 1930s through the 19540s -- feature photos of camp activities, specializing in showing the healthy aspects of life in the Adirondacks.

From Elias: “My dad and I both attended Schroon Lake Camp. I have digitized numerous of the lavish annuals with camp descriptions, views, and bunk photos”.
