Free Concert Tuesday: Dan Berggren
The Schroon Lake Arts Council proudly kicks of its 2015 Summer Concert Series with Adirondack Legend, Dan Berggren.
Dan teams up with Ed Lowman, of the Schroon Lake Square Dance, for the concert at The Boat House on Dock Street.
This performance replaces a previously advertised gig featuring End of America, who cancelled last minute, says SLAC President Jack Osborne. That’s when Jack reached out to Dan, who agreed to fill the void, Jack tells Schroon Laker.
“Together, they will be offering a program that Dan has performed here in Schroon Lake several years back which tells the story in song)of the history of folk music in the Adirondacks,” Jack told us.
“While his roots are firmly in the Adirondacks where he was raised, Dan's music has branched out across many borders. He’s an award-winning educator and musician has entertained audiences from Kentucky to Michigan, Belgium to Bulgaria, and Zimbabwe to Transylvania”.
Tickets are available at 7pm at The Boat House. The concert starts at 8pm. Fore more on the amazing summer season click here.
