Keeping You and Your Pets Safe in The Adirondacks
Save The Date: Schroon Rabies Clinic is set for May 18. It's an Essex County Public Health Department sponsored sponsored event at the Schroon Lake Fire Hall, (29 Industrial Drive).
The event runs from 6 pm – 8 pm and every pet -- including indoor pets and ferrets 3 months and older -- are required to be vaccinated. Dogs and cats receiving their first rabies vaccination are required to receive a rabies vaccination booster shot within one year.
That booster protects your furry friends for three years. Bring your pet's rabies vaccination certificate if a three-year booster is needed. Little known fact? : Ferrets must be vaccinated every year. All pets must be leashed or in a carrier or crate. For multiple pets, call ahead to start your paperwork at 518 873-3500. A donation of $5 would be very much appreciated.
