We are saddened to report on the passing of James A. Ritson, who passed away on May 26, 2016.

He was 56. James  -- better known as jimmy to his mates -- lived and worked in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but to all who knew him, it was Schroon Lake that was his true home.

From his official obit: "Jimmy was an avid golfer, loved the great outdoors (whether hiking, seeing national parks or hanging at the river) and had a unique sense of humor.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Suzanne; dad, Jim (the late Rosemarie); sister, Melody (John); two brothers, Darren (Carol) and Scott (Marie); three nieces; uncle, aunts, cousins and numerous very good friends (you know who you are).

On July 7, Jimmy’s ashes will be scattered at the fourth hole of the golf course at 4 p.m. in his beloved Schroon Lake, to be followed by a celebration of life at the Schroon Lake Fish & Game Club starting at 4:30 p.m.
