Schroon Lake came to life as a winter wonder land Sunday, as the ice hosted fishermen and women, the area's snowmobile trials buzzed to life and folks enjoyed our great hamlet, taking walks, burning off calories running and letting Fido go for a romp in the snow.

There was a family sledding on the golf course, taking winter sports into their own hands, not waiting for the Town Ski Pull to open. (We need more snow for that operation to be fired up!)

Sledders packed Sticks and Stones and a steady stream of riders slid their rides over the roadway from the town park to gas up at Stewarts. Others hit Main Street restaurants.
