Joan Cunningham, a coordinator from Solarize Eastern Essex County, will host a talk about the benefits of solar power, Saturday at 2 pm at the Adk Works Center (1061 Main Sreet, in Schroon Lake).

“The process began in March 2017, when we, the Town of Elizabethtown and ADK Community Works, were chosen by NYSERDA (New York State Energy Research and Development Authority) to sponsor a solarize campaign for eastern Essex County,” she said. 

“We then completed our request for proposal to obtain a contractor/installer partner to work with us. The request resulted in five bidders competing to provide the lowest cost to eastern Essex County for solar installation"
