Calling Schroon Lake Area Students With An Eye For Photography
Beauty surrounds us, and the work of local photographers can be found on many Lakers’ Facebook pages. And if you are a local student, with a passion for photography and the Adirondacks, you have just a few days left to submit your photos to a photo contest sponsored by the Lake Placid Institute of Arts and Humanities. The contest is "24 Hours: A Photographic Interpretation of Life in the Adirondacks".
From LPI:
“It’s a contest for high school students in public and private schools within the Adirondack Park. 2016-2017 will be the seventh year of this program, which draws entries from throughout the region. Students are invited to submit two photographs taken during any specified hour or hours of the day, and are encouraged to move their view beyond traditional landscape subjects – though they also qualify for submission – to subjects that relate to their own daily lives”.
The rules state photos must be taken by February 28, with the deadline for submission April 15, 2017. Check out all of the details, by clicking here.
