Whoa! Winter came a little earlier than expected to greater Schroon, with snow starting to fall Friday afternoon into Saturday morning.

We are getting reports that many folks are still without power as of midday Saturday. Schroon’s Highway Department have once again shown why they are the best in the area. Fallen tree branches on power lines are to blame for many of the outages. National Grid trucks are trouble shooting with the company hoping to have all power back on by 9 pm.
