Foodie News: Late January Edition

We’ve got a couple of updates for foodies this weekend. Mr. P's Mountain Smokehouse is closed. They’ll be back up on Friday, January 31!

Morningstar Bistro is closed for the season. And as many of our readers already know – Drakes, which made a spectacular comeback this year, has also closed for the season, but will most definitely be back come May.

There are only three restaurants we know of -- Sticks and Stones, Pitkins and Shirley’s Diner -- that are open every day.

Sticks and Stones Apple Pie Pizza

And Sticks and Stones may have invented one of the most delicious deserts we have ever tasted. It's an apple pie pizza, served with a dollop of vanilla bean ice cream. It is soooo yummmy!!!

Witherbee’s Carriage House is operating on their weekend hours of Thursday through Sunday nights. And while you are there, check out their hot and spicy cheese burger (below) served with with a side of salsa and jalapenos -- we got ours with extra peppers. It was delicious.

And for those seeking to fill their growlers, the Paradox Brewery Tasting Room hours are: Friday  4pm - until?, Saturday  12pm -5pm and Sunday  12pm - 5pm.
