The Schroon-North Hudson Historical Society’s summer season 2019 begins on Saturday, June 29th, with an opening reception. This year marks another stellar line-up of our area’s history

New Exhibits: "Hamlets - Houses - History"
This new exhibit will include the hamlets of South Schroon, North Hudson/Blue Ridge Paradox/Severance, Hoffman/Loch Mueller, and Baker Street.

Thursday, July 18th ~ "History of the Dollhouse"
"History of the Dollhouse" is a hands on program for children to learn about the history of the doll house, and they will be able to decorate and create their own full size paper doll house. 9:30am -11:30am @ The Schroon North Hudson Historical Society. Limited Spots: to reserve your child's spot please contact the museum @ 518-532-7615 after June 29th.

The Schroon-North Hudson Historical Society is excited to partner with the non-for-profit Adirondack Architecture Heritage to bring a program and a guided walking tour exploring Schroon's architecture and buildings.
10am: Program: Learn the various styles of architecture! @ Boathouse Theater
Noon - Lunch on your own!
1pm -3pm Walk with a AARCH guide and identify the various styles of architecture in our community.

Sunday, July 28th ~ Book Talk ... "Summertime in a Tourist Town"
The Schroon-North Hudson Society will be hosting Author Joanne Sheets who wrote "Summertime in a Tourist Town" at 2 pm at the Museum.

Thursday, August 8th ~ "Wash Days"
"Wash Days" is a museum hands on program for children to learn how to wash laundry the old fashion way. They will haul water to the wash tub, use a bar of soap and a scrub board to wash some good ole' fashion laundry including some fun long johns.
They will use the hand ringer to remove excess water, and then wonder over to hang up laundry on an old fashion clothes line. 9:30am -11:30am @ The Schroon North Hudson Historical Society. Free and open to the public!

Come out to the Schroon Lake Boathouse Theater and Share Your Memories of our beloved Schroon Lake Community Church @ 7pm. A donation basket will be passed and all proceeds will be donated to the Schroon Lake Community Church to aid them in rebuilding!
