Matt brings this unique piece of performance art  to Witherbee’s for one night only (February 20). Matt will be performingwith Debra Shufely-Dine and Anthime Milur. The show starts at 7.30pm. Call (518) 532-9595 to reserve your seat.

Here’s how Matt explains how he pulls off his show, “Me, Myself and Albinoni”.

“A concert version of my recent album Me, Myself and Albinoni, using a film of myself playing the 2nd part, and performing the 1st part live to the film. Performed at the 2014 IDRS Conference in NYU's Loewe Theater. I built the screen myself, and rear-projected it to simulate a "hologram-like" look to it.
I used a Sony A7s to create the film AND the clip of the concert itself. I play a Monnig AM155 oboe".

Fun, Adventure and the great outdoors! Oh – and some amazing ice fishing!

Just look at the smile – and that huge fish – that Alyssa DeCesare pulled out of the lake yesterday!. With a good foot of ice across most of the northern sections of the lake,  ice fishing season IS ON!

It’s refreshing in today’s world  -- where our lives revolve around screens -- there are folks of all shapes and sizes, kids young and old, and families who can actually get off the couch and get outside. Ice fishing in Schroon is just another of the many reasons why our little part of the Adirondack Paradise is so special.

No Snow – No Problem: Annual Poker Run Is On!

The show must go on – even without the snow! That’s the spirit being embraced by members of the Schroon-North Hudson Snowmobile Club, who will be holding their annual Poker Run this Saturday. Organizers are hoping for a big turnout, with riders getting their cards stamped at the various stops  along the run by getting their by CAR!

Sign-ups begin at 6 pm on Friday Night at Sticks and Stones. The run starts on Saturday at 9am and all participants must be back at S&S  at 3pm for the card draw.

There will also be a Chinese auction, gun raffle and 50/50, so even if you can't make the run come on down to Sticks and Stones, buys some tickets and hear some great music.

I have had fun photographing them trying to get the best picture. My first photo subject turned out to be our one ear squirrel.  This fellow is much more handsome. Enjoy!  Pat.
