A Local Schroon Favorite Returns: Welcome Back Mt. Severance Store!

Avid reader Andrew Silver broke the news last week about the re-opening of the long shuttered Mt. Severance Store. He sent us this picture featuring the tantalizing prospect of this Schroon Standard returning to fill a much needed gapping hole for folks north of the Schroon Lake Village.

Hey Seagle, Say It Ain’t Over?

Sadly, Seagle’s 101st annual main stage season will conclude with a beloved musical by Meredith Willson. (But their post season is GANGBUSTERS!).

The first performance was tonight and runs through the weekend.

The storyline:  As Harold Hill stirs trouble in River City, Iowa --  in service of his moneymaking scheme -- he comes across an unexpected outcome when he falls for the beautiful local librarian Marian Paroo.

This All-American show is for all. Single tickets $47.50 adults and $37.50 for those 12 and under.
