Happy 125th Birthday Adirondack Park

Today, May 20th,  marks the 125th anniversary of the Adirondack Park! On this day in 1892, the New York State Legislature with the support of Governor Roswell P. Flower created the Adirondack Park Enabling Act which created the Park’s Blue Line boundary.

Breaking News: Emergency Landing At Schroon Lake Aiport

This just in from Tammy Whitty-Brown:

"BREAKING NEWS! THANK GOODNESS WE HAVE AN AIRPORT! It was JUST reported to me by the Town Supervisor, Mike Marnell that a gentleman photographing our region from his plane for Real Property of Essex County lost his engine while in flight this afternoon, he had to glide in on a prayer and a wing with no engine in to our Schroon Lake Airport. He is very thankful that we have one, if we didnt he would probally have crashed in our local woods or someones home in the area. He and the plane are safe, Mr. Marnell reported!"
