Happy 125th Birthday Adirondack Park
/Today, May 20th, marks the 125th anniversary of the Adirondack Park! On this day in 1892, the New York State Legislature with the support of Governor Roswell P. Flower created the Adirondack Park Enabling Act which created the Park’s Blue Line boundary.
The Adirondack Council Clarence Petty Intern, Kyle Plaske, has written an excellent history about how our world famous park came to be, which you can read in our History and Fun Facts section.
