News From The Schroon Lake Association: One Huge Summer

The Schroon Lake Association kicked off the season with a huge splash, after a record-breaking wet spring -- and record lake levels -- for this time of the year.

First up there was June’s Hobie Cat Regatta, their July 4th Parade Float and the three lake associations hosting a Joint Educational and Entertainment Night with Professor Mark Whitmore, Carl Heilman and Dan Berggren.

But there’s a whole lot more to come, reports President Mark Granger. Here’s the latest from Mark:


* JULY  15th

SLA’s 47th Annual Craft Fair kicks off at 10 am rain or shine in the park on Leland Avenue, above the Town Beach. Over 100 vendors plight their wares with food and a great time for all. You will be sure to find something to take home before it closes at 4 pm.

Friends of Schroon Lake Library Book Sale. In the basement of the Hudson Headwaters Building 10 am – 2 pm.

WOL Concert in Pottersville, featuring Arron Shust

Schroon Lake Historical Society Hands on Program for Children. Free. 10 am – Noon at the Museum.

Friday, July 15

St. Andrews Episcopal Church’s annual summer Coffeehouse Concert, 7pm in the Schroon Lake Parish Hall.  Music from "The Adirondack Song Dogs".  Baked goods, coffee and tea are free.  Donations are appreciated and will benefit the Schroon Lake Food Pantry.  Call 518-494-3314 for more info
