We are in search of a yellow Pelican kayak, which floated — most likely north — from the west side of the lake across from Witherbee’s.
The white bottom is scratched up.
The Schroon Lake Marina is also getting calls about various lost and found items.

/The innovative Schroon Lake Central School video class continues to impress. One of their latest projects involved students interviewing candidates for today’s election for the Town Board and the position of Town Supervisor in their “Meet the Candidate Series”.

/In what numerous locals are describing as the Schroon Lake level at “historic” highs, numerous homes and properties along the banks of the lake and the Schroon River have suffered severe flooding.
The lake level is more the three feet above normal. Water is gushing over the gates that control levels at the Stabuckville Dam.
We spotted a large section of a dock, which had broken off from a camp just south of town.
At the town beach, rising waters has caused erosion along the grassy banks of hill. Thousands are still without power in parts of Essex County. Warren County seems to be the hardest hit, according to the Post-Star.
The docks near the Town Boathouse and at the Word of Life Headquarters across from their conference center on Route 9, also appeared to have been damaged. Rising water at the Schroon Lake Marina reached the front door of the offices. Some businesses with exposure to Rogers Brook, including the Schroon Lake Chamber of Commerce, suffered flooding.
