We’ve just received another Santagram, which contains the latest details about his visit here this Saturday. As we have reported, the doors of the Strand Theater open at 4pm in anticipation of St. Nick’s arrival at 6pm.
And while you are waiting, the good folks next door at Mr P’s Mountain Smokehouse and Shelby’s Kitchen Therapy will be supplying the crowd with free, homemade Popcorn Balls. We didn't have a clue what a Popcorn Ball was, until Shelby Davis filled us in.
It’s fresh made popcorn rolled in caramel and formed into a ball, so it looks like a big snowball. We may even do some with bacon flavor. That’s a recipe from my great grandmother.
Yum! And while you’re munching on your Popcorn Balls, check out the Face Painter who will be at The Strand. Just up the road a bit at the Senior Center there will be an activity for kids, free cocoa and cookies.
