Schroon's New Tourist Attraction

If you haven't noticed -- or heard -- Schroon has a new tourist attraction. Known affectionately as "The Old Man Of The Tree", this beautiful sculpture sits at the bottom of Mark and Sharon Piper's Schroon Lake Bed and Breakfast, just north of town on Route 9.

"We have people pull up, get out and take photos," Sharon told us recently.

And today there's a reception to meet the artist -- Glenn Durlacher -- who created this masterpiece.

"There has been an enormous amount of interest from everyone about who created the "Old man". Glenn will be able to answer everyone's questions and hopefully get some new business."

Sharon and Mark reached out to the community to find a name for the sculpture and it will be revealed today at their reception. You can see more photos of this masterpiece here.

Where and When: Schroon Lake Bed and Breakfast. Sunday, November 11th. 1pm - 3 pm. 525 U.S. 9 Schroon Lake, NY 12870.(518) 532-7042
