How Much Is That Doggy In The Window?

As the owners of two rescue dogs, we know first-hand the joys of saving an animal’s life and the love they can bring to a family. So when we heard about the 500 cats and dogs, birds, reptiles and horses that have found loving homes thanks to the annual Curtis Lumber Pet-A-Palooza Pet Adopton Day, we were thrilled.
And this year, Schroon Lake’s own Curtis Lumber is one of 15 stores taking part in this worthy event. The idea for this unique adoption day comes from Curtis Lumber's president and owner, Jay Curtis and his wife Kendra. The event is co-hosted by the North Country ASPCA and local rescue groups
"A lot of people are reluctant to go to shelters because they can be kinda sad" said Dave Bielawski, Advertising Manager at Curtis Lumber, "so we decided to provide a different environment where people can come and meet pets and it by far surpassed our expectations!"
So if you’ve always wanted a pet – but were a little freaked out by going to an animal shelter, come on out to Curtis Lumber this Saturday.
