Memories of Summer

This spectacular photo by Tim Persons, of Kensington, Maryland, captures a scene we witnessed many an early morning on the glass like surface of Schroon Lake.

Just after sunrise, a boat with a rain jack clad driver and observer, with a skier in tow, would glide down the middle of the lake, with the skier drifting far lft, to far right, leaving behind a large, misty spray.

Smoke like steamis visible on the body of the water closest to the east shore of Schroon Lake -- the sun not yet able to fully warm its surface.
