A Schroon Laker known to many passed away on Thursday.

CROWN POINT — Jeffrey Allen Smith, 29, passed away Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, in Crown Point, N.Y.

Jeffrey was born Feb. 6, 1984, in New Britain, Conn., the son of Angel Morissey and Leland Smith.

Jeffrey attended school in Schroon Lake for several years.

Because of Jeff’s lifelong illness, he was unable to participate in all of life’s normal activities during his youth and adult life.

Jeff took great pleasure in the company of his best friend and companion, his dog Thor.

Jeffrey is survived by his mother, Angel Morissey, and her husband, Patrick, of North Hudson; his grandmother, Sylvia Mc Intyre, and her husband, James, of Putnam Station; his father, Leland Smith, and his wife, Nancy, of Putnam Station; his stepbrother, Alexander; his stepsisters, Leanne and Smantha; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at Edward L. Kelly Funeral Home, 1019 U.S. Route 9, Schroon Lake, N.Y.

Interment will follow in Schroon River Cemetery North in Hudson, N.Y.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
