Spring Break Party At Gore

On Saturday afternoon at Gore Mountain, it appeared that there were more folks on the sun deck than the slopes, as skiers took the opportunity to get a big dose of vitamin D, while enjoying a few amber ales and some barbecue under brilliant blue and sunny skies.

Folks had set up their own grills, enjoying a variety of sausages and burgers. There were long lines at the outdoor Open Pit Grille and an appreciative crowd at the Tannery Pub enjoying a local band, whose name we didn't catch.

While snow production has ceased, the mountain got four plus inches Thursday night into Friday. The conditions were, for the most part stellar, but a little mash-potatoey in places.

And today is the first time 2013/2014 season passes are on sale and can be used for the rest of the season, starting right now. And as an added bonus, the new passes can be used not only at Gore and White Face, but now at Belleayre.

Buy before April 19 to lock in the bargain price of $739 for adults and $385 for full time students.
