Good Morning Schroon Lake!

Just After Sunrise. Looking East. Photo processed through the new Tadaa App.

As light flakes fall on our slice of the world, there's lots to do today in Schroon. Free movies at the library, Schroon Lake Central School's Spring Musical, Oklahoma tonight at 7pm, the Sportsman's Dinner and the Ski Tow. All of the details are in our CALENDAR section.

Our pick of the day is a series of three unique event at True North Yoga. From Deb Philp:

At 6:00pm: Doris Cohen will discuss the spiritual practices of the Native Americans who explored and hunted in and around Schroon Lake.

At 7:00pm: Sacred Drumming Circle. Drumming is a powerful, healing way to honor the earth. Join us under the full moon to explore the sacred sound that connects us all, no matter what faith (or lack of).

At 8:30pm: Earth Hour. The global Earth Hour movement brings together communities across the world celebrating a commitment to the planet by switching off lights for one designated hour each year. Earth Hour 2013 will be held on Saturday, March 23rd between 8.30pm and 9.30pm (local time zone), so we're going to turn off the lights and keep on drumming!

Open to all; no talent is necessary. We are all born with an inherent ability to follow simple rhythms. Please bring any kind of drum, rattle or other percussion instrument. Chairs will be provided for those that prefer them.

All three events are free of charge and you can attend one, two or all three.
