Throwback Thursday: Swimsuit Edition

From the Schroon Laker Collection

Do you remember the days before T-shirts became the norm to show off where you went on vacation? Back then, you might have gotten mom or dad to buy you a felt pennant. Maybe dad was bold enough to buy a decal for the station wagon.

We are not entirely sure about the age of the decal above, but judging by the bathing suit style, we think it may date back to the late 1950s.

If you know otherwise, we'd be more than happy for you to correct us by leaving a comment.

This decal was printed by Bloom Bros Co, at 25 N. 2nd Street in Minneapolis, who made these decals for tourist destinations all over the US. Got memories to share about Schroon Lake in the 1950s? Tell us about them in comments.
