2013 Schroon Lake Kids Fishing Derby Results

Sixty six young anglers competed in this year's Schroon Lake Kids Fishing Derby which was held Saturday July 27 for children under twelve.  

Jack and Evan Hickey and Ryan Dollar won awards for their perch entries.

Brooke Burton and Gabriel Heath won the crappie category.

Alondo Torres, Amanda Maisonville and Audrey Logan all entered prize winning rock bass.

Three sunfish won prizes. Those winning anglers were Harrison Geraux, Justin Troia, and Elliot Frasier.

Gabriel Dezalia and Sammy Silver won for their black bass entries.

The largest fish of the day, a 25 oz. bass, was landed by eleven year old Jack Troia of Hopewell Junction, Dutchess County, which earned him the Tournament Championship.

The tournament is sponsored annually by the Schroon Lake Fish and Game Club and the Chamber of Commerce.
