We know many folks who can’t wait for Saturday night and the official launch party of The Witherbee’s OPEN MIC DVD project, to raise funds to help veterans.

A few months back some of our area’s most talented musicians, who are regulars at the Thursday Open Mic Night, performed original numbers which were recorded for a DVD release. Sales would benefit The Wounded Warrior Project and the Chapin Foundation.

Mark Piper, one of those very talented musicians, who also runs the Open Mic Night, picks up the story:

“The project was the brainchild of Steve Miller (a long time fan who has a camp in Adirondack and lives in Albany). The idea was to use our talents to promote local original music in the Adirondacks, promote the Witherbee’s OPEN MIC, and give to two worthy causes; The Wounded Warrior Project and the Chapin foundation. Steve and I felt a CD would not capture the magic of our musical oasis.  We are happy it turned out so well and look forward to more projects and more great music like this in the future".

We know first hand the project has had huge support from Witherbee's owners: Bill and Patty Christian and their daughter Amanda. The event kicks off at 6:30pm.
