BIG SNOW HEADED OUR WAY

Depending how you read the National Weather Service forecast -- which way the wind blows and exactly where you live -- we could be in for as little as 6 inches or 14 inches of snow during the next 48 hours. The National Weather Service in Burlington has issued a Winter Storm Warning with HEAVY SNOW starting at 11am Tuesday, going through to 5pm Wednesday.

The highlights from NOAA:

Tonight: Increasing clouds, with a low around 17. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Tuesday:  Snow, mainly after noon. High near 31. Light and variable wind becoming north 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches possible.

Tuesday:  Night Snow. Low around 29. North wind 8 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches possible.
