Meet Some Local Heroes and Get Involved This Saturday

If you want first hand proof at just how valuable  our Schroon Lake Volunteer Fire Department/Emergency Squad is –  check out their handy work at the historic Paradox House in Severance: It still stands proudly on Route 74.

That's something owners Analise Rigan and Merritt Hults didn’t think was going to be possible, after a fire on March 13th in their primary heating source was whipped by the wind, sending flames in the direction of their large home, that a Great-Grandfather built in the 1890s.

You can read the couples heartfelt tribute to the Schroon Lake Volunteer Fire Department/Emergency Squad here.

This Saturday, come out for a pancake breakfast and learn more about the potential opportunities that are available for volunteers with the Schroon Lake Volunteer Fire Department and EMS squad. The breakfast gets underway from 9am – 10 am with demonstrations to follow. For further information you can email Mary Gleason at gleason1972@yahoo.com
