Patrick Siler, the new Executive Director of the Schroon Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, is gearing up for one of the town’s busiest weeks with the Annual July 4th Celebration.
Since Patrick began in his new position in April, there are not enough hours in the day to get to everything he needs to do – run the chamber, navigate through a myriad of red tape in order to secure grants, as well as develop a plan to grow Schroon, its tourism and find a way to attract new businesses and residents to town.
We caught up with Patrick a couple of weeks into his new job for a sit down interview. Here he shares his vision about the future of Schroon Lake, the challenges that are ahead and the steps that have to be taken to have a robust town and economy. Read our interview in our My Story section.
