Congrats to Carol Gregson, whose new book Wet Socks won the Best Memoir in the Best Adirondack Books of 2013 .

The awards were announced Monday by the Adirondack Center for Writing (ACW).

From ACW: The Adirondack Literary Awards celebrate and acknowledge the books that were written by Adirondack authors or published in the region in the previous year.

All of the books submitted for consideration this year were on display, giving a visual sense of the scope of our Adirondack literary achievements, and many of the authors had signed copies of their books for sale. This year a record 51 books were submitted, also, for the first time featured articles were accepted as a category”.

Wet Socks is the follow up book to the laugh out loud Leaky Boots. If you have not read Carol’s work, be prepared to be tickled pink and see ADK life through an entirely different lens.

Carol recently taught a memoir writing course at the Schroon Lake Library, where you can check out both of her books. You can also buy them at the Towne Store.
